Neuroscience

neuroNeuroscience, the relation between brain and human cognitive, emotional, and behavioral function.

Biological Psychology:

A branch of neuroscience that focuses on the biological bases of psychological processes, behavior, and learning.

The biological approach emphasizes the study of the body, especially the brain and the nervous system. Neuroscience is the scientific study of the structure, function, development, genetics, and biochemistry of the nervous system. It emphasizes that the brain and nervous system are central to understanding behavior, thought, and emotion.

Brain science and cognitive psychologists study how the human mind thinks, remembers and learns. They apply psychological science to understand how we make decisions and perceive our world.ingineria-genetica

The biological approach to psychology is one way to explain the human experience. The biological approach seeks to explain mental processes and behavior by focusing on the function of the nervous system at the cellular and structural level. Biological or the neurological approach to psychology is called neuropsychology.  Psychologists explain behaviors from a neurological perspective, in neurological terms, the brain and how the brain influences behavior.  Neuroscience also sparks the “nature versus nurture” debate or the  “mind-body” “problem,”  or “connection.”  Is there a relationship or a connection between the mind, mental cognitive processes, and physical processes.
