Choosing A Therapist:

You are taking an important step in your personal journey by seeking therapy. Choosing the right therapist is a crucial decision in this personal and intimate process. You want someone whom understands your struggle, your pain, and your frustrations. You need to trust that you will be safe in this process and that you can do anything that you set your mind to. You are not alone.

You are seeking someone who is a trained substance and opioid use professional that can help you through the process, to understand your disease, and help you to achieve your goal to regain control of your life. Take a few minutes to read more about me and my philosophy of working with people to see if this process will help you succeed.

If I don’t seem like the right fit, I urge you to seek mental health support from another therapist, resource, or support group.

Thank you for considering me.

How Does Psychotherapy Work?
Our initial meeting will allow us to get to know each other through a brief assessment. We’ll identify the focus of treatment, spell out specific goals, identify any need for additional supportive services, and clarify the terms of services. The sessions that follow will be less structured and driven by your needs, feelings, and experiences.

Most clients come one to two times per week for a 45-50 minute session.
